It's tourney time...ready for the madness?
Play The $100,000 March Madness Bracket Challenge brought to you by Nine.com. Test your hoops knowledge (or luck) and enjoy the rim-rocking, buzzer-beating march to the Men's collegiate hoops championship. As always, it's a free and easy three point play:
Register for FREE and you're ready to hit the hardwood! Please note:
- There's no need to re-register if you played The $100,000 March Madness Bracket Challenge last year or have played one of our other free contests. You can use the same username and password to login and play! If not, you will need to register specifically for this contest even if you are already a Nine.com member.
- Effective Feb 26, 2007, any new registrants from the US or Canada are not eligible for the cash prizes. Only existing customers at Nine.com and new registrants from non North American countries are eligible for the cash prizes.
The March Madness Bracket Challenge is a bracket contest with a twist - you get bonus points for picking the upsets. If you pick the underdog and they win you'll earn more points than if you pick the favorite. On the other hand, if your 'dogs lose, you'll get a big goose egg for those games. The riskier your picks, the more points you can earn! Fill out your bracket for this year's tournament anytime during the entry period from 9:00 PM ET on Sunday, March 11 to 12:00 PM ET on Thursday, March 15, 2007.
In each of the four bracket regions—East (Charlotte), West (Phoenix), Midwest (Detroit) and South (Houston)— the teams are seeded from 1 through 16 with 1 being the top seed and 16 being the biggest underdog in each region. You'll earn the number of base points indicated for every correct pick you make (plus the underdog bonus points if you pick the underdog and they actually win). The base points and underdog bonus points awarded for each correct pick increase with each round. Of course, the bigger the underdog, the more bonus points you can earn. Please refer to the Schedule/Scoring for a more detailed explanation and examples.
Pick 63 winners and you could win $100,000! Pick enough right and you could win your share of
over $5,000 in prizes we're giving away.
Create your own office pool and then invite your friends to join.
(Remember to give them the group password you created - they'll need it to join your group.)
Compete with your group members for bragging rights while you battle everyone else for the prizes! You can even engage in
some sideline banter and Trash Talk with your friends and colleagues. It's a private message board just for your group.
Get personal email from the contest with your results at the end of each week and get a reminder before the entry deadline to make your picks.
Ready to tip off? You can fill out your brackets anytime during the entry period from 9:00 PM ET on Sunday, March 11 to 12:00 PM ET on Thursday, March 15, 2007. Good luck!
