WHO HAVE REACHED THE AGE OF MAJORITY WITHIN THE PROVINCE OR TERRITORY IN WHICH THEY RESIDE.
VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. SEE ELIGIBILITY SECTION IN
TERMS AND CONDITIONS SECTION BELOW FOR FURTHER DETAILS.
REGISTRATION. To enter the contest you must first go to www.sportsnet.ca, click on the contest link and register for free using the
Registration Form. You may register and make your picks starting on Monday, January 10, 2005
at 12:00 p.m. ET through until 5:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, February 6, 2005 (or one hour before the scheduled kickoff time, whichever is earlier), the Contest Closing Date.
If you have previously registered for a Sportsnet fantasy contest, there is no need to re-register. You can update your profile when prompted and
login using the same username and password.
HOW TO ENTER. After you register,
proceed to the Enter/Change Picks
page in order to be entered in the contest. The Enter/Change Picks page lists 15 questions and 4 or more corresponding possible answers to each of the questions.
One of the choices is the correct answer. Select the choice that matches the outcome that you think will happen in the 2005 Pro Football championship game
scheduled to be played at 6:00 p.m. ET on February 6, 2005 in Jacksonville, FL (the "Game"). For each correct outcome you predict, you will earn
the number of points matching that selection.
The riskier your pick, the more potential points you can earn. For example, the most probable answer will be indicated
with the lowest number of points and the least probable answer will be indicated with the highest number of points.
The sum total of all your points earned from your correct predictions will determine your final point total.
You will also be asked to select an answer to the following two tie-breaker questions which will be used as the tie-breakers in the event of a tie:
How many net yards rushing will the American Conference team gain?
How many net yards rushing will the National Conference team gain?
Confirm your selections using the Submit button at the bottom of the page. Follow all additional instructions listed on that page and
submit your selections before the Contest Closing Date. Only one entry per contestant and e-mail address is allowed.
Any picks or changes to selections received after the Contest Closing Date will not be accepted.
You may change your predictions and resubmit any time before the Contest Closing Date. The sole determinant of time for the purposes
of the Contest will be the servers of the Contest Providers (Rogers Sportsnet Inc. and Blast Promotions Inc.). Contestants
entering picks close to the Contest Closing Date do so with this information in mind.

ODDS OF WINNING. Chances of winning depend on the number of entries received. Contest providers are unaware
of how many entries there may be.
WINNER SELECTION.
For each correct prediction you make you will earn points matching that prediction
which will be used to rank you relative to the other
contestants. The more total points you earn, the better your rank
will be. Amongst people with the same number of points, the 2 tie-breaking questions located at the bottom of the question page, will be used
to break ties: the closer your predicted total is to the actual game total the better. Finally, if there are still ties, then the entrant
whose picks were submitted earlier will be ranked higher. Note that if you submit your picks and then change them, we will use
the time we received your last set of picks to break ties. The top contestants according to the final standings will be eligible to win
the Grand Prizes listed on the Prizes/Winners page and described below.
The following points of interpretation specifically apply to the determination of the "correct" outcome for the questions indicated.
Any other matters of interpretation are solely at the discretion of the Contest Providers as per the GENERAL CONDITIONS section below.
Official league sources will be used to determine the correct game outcomes.
- Question 1. In the event the first play from scrimmage is anything other than an American Conference team run, American Conference team pass, National Conference team run or National Conference team pass
(such as a fumbled snap), the play will be declared as an "invalid play" and the next valid play from scrimmage will be used instead.
- Question 3. The player officially credited with scoring the points is the player deemed to have scored.
- On a scoring pass from a Quarterback (QB) to a Wide Receiver (WR), the WR gets credit for scoring the TD.
- On a kick, punt, fumble or interception return for a touchdown, it is automatically considered to be a
"Defensive/Special Team/Other" TD even if the player that scores ordinarily plays at another position such as in the case of a WR that returns kicks.
- A TD reception by a tackle on a tackle eligible play is considered to be a "Defensive/Special Team/Other" TD.
- A safety is considered to be a "Defensive/Special Team/Other" scoring play.
- A field goal kicked by any player is considered to be scored by the Kicker such as in the case of the regular kicker being injured and another player that
ordinarily plays at another position being used as a Kicker.
- Only a field goal is considered to be scored by the Kicker. In the event that the Kicker were to score on a fumble return on a
kicking play, it would be considered as a "Defensive/Special Team/Other" TD.
- Question 4. This applies only to the 4 Quarters, not to Overtime should it be required.
For example, if the score was 6-6 at the end of regulation time with 3 points being scored
in each quarter and a TD was subsequently scored in Overtime, the correct answer would still be "Tie among two or more quarters"
even though the most points were actually scored in Overtime.
- Question 5. Any points scored at exactly the 2:00 minute mark are considered to be scored in the last two minutes of the
applicable half or halves.
- Question 11. This refers to any TD scored whether it be rushing, receiving, fumble return, interception return, kick or punt return.
- Question 13. The game winning points are the ones scored by the winning team that are one or more points higher than the total number of points scored by the losing team.
For example, if the final score is 31-27 and the winning team scored 28 points in the 1st quarter, then the correct answer is "1st quarter".
- Tie-breaking questions. Net Yards Rushing represents the total number of yards gained on rushing plays
minus the total number of yards lost on rushing plays. The lowest number you can select is 0 and the highest number you can select is 300.
Selecting 0 encompasses 0 and anything less; selecting 300 encompasses 300 and anything more.
If the actual Net Yards Rushing for the applicable team is less than 0 or more than 300,
0 and 300 would be considered to be the correct numbers respectively.
GRAND PRIZES. There are three (3) grand prizes available to be won.
The three contestants with the highest number of points will be eligible to win one grand prize each. Each Grand Prize consists
of a Sony DVD Handycam camcorder (model: DCR-DVD100), and a year's supply of DELISSIO Pizza, any size, any variety (1 pizza per month for a year)
worth approximately $1,096 CDN.
BONUS PRIZE. One $100,000 lump sum bonus prize is available to be awarded among all entrants who pick
all 15 correct outcomes (a perfect score) and who have complied with the contest rules and requirements.
If more than one entrant achieves the perfect score, the bonus prize will be shared evenly between/among such entrants.
WINNER NOTIFICATION.
Determination of the potential grand prize winners shall take place on or about February 8, 2005 by Contest Providers whose
decision shall be final (see GENERAL CONDITIONS below). Selected entrants will be notified by email, phone, regular mail and/or
overnight courier. If selected entrant is unreachable after 10 days an alternate entrant will be selected whose rank is next highest
according to the rules. To be declared a winner of any prize, the entrant will also be required to correctly answer without assistance of
any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time limited, mathematical, skill testing question. In addition, potential winners
must complete, sign and return an Eligibility/Prize Acceptance Form/Release of liability within 10 days of notification
to be declared a prizewinner. Noncompliance within this time period will result in disqualification and an alternate entrant
being chosen.
Prizes will be distributed within sixty (60) days after each prizewinner has been successfully contacted and notified of their prize
and has complied with all contest rules and requirements. Contest Providers reserve the right to substitute a prize for another of
equal or greater value for any reason. The names of all
prizewinners and their respective city of residence will be posted on the contest web site.
